During the spectra of today's temperature dependence series, I wrote a little Visual Basic script in AutoCAD to draw single-wall carbon nanotubes (CNTs). The above picture, a typical result, depicts four CNTs of similar diameter (0.95. 0.83, 1.05 and 0.96 nm, respectively) of zig-zag (n,0), chiral (n,m), and armchair (n,n) classification. The (7,5) and (7,6) tubes are two of the dominant species present in CoMoCAT CNT-material, which is grown using a special catalyst by Soutwest Nanotechnologies Inc. for large sums of money.
Hopefully such pretty pictures will aid the explaination of nanotube geometry in the introductory chapter of my forthcoming thesis.

I have often seen reminiscences of people I have never even heard of, and I fail to see -- because I do not happen to be a 'Somebody' -- why my blog should not be interesting. My only regret is that I did not commence it when I was a youth.
