Valued-based Management seems to be one of those terms that consultants are notorious for coining, but it actually seems to incorporate lots of important concepts and very sensible ideals.

valuebasedmanagement.net is an odd site; odd, in these days, because it contains a huge wealth of information portrayed very basically.  It tries to explain a huge range of approaches, frameworks, ideas from a vast spread of companies — the sheer number of links on the front page is a bit overwhelming.

My mind has been turning again to The World of Work and I came across some excellent archives of online advice given by UK GRAD experts.

• Week 2: Interviews and assessment centres

Dr Sara Shinton also provides four articles [Word docs] on CVs, Application Forms, Interviews and Assessment Centres.

In addition to these, UK GRAD provide a nice list of possible interview questions.

Elsewhere, UCL have a nice section on ‘key skills’, inc. a Key Skills Grid.

Wow, thanks to Gothamist I came across a blog that’s been turned into a (well, not quite sustainable, but fun) business.

The fairly talented Scott Moore is doing sketches for $1 (via PayPal) and then posting them on his blog, Sketch-it.

By the look of things, he’s getting a lot of requests and all those bucks must add up!
