Google #1

Google must have re-written their algorithm over the past few weeks because I’ve shot up the list of James Doig’s to number one! (I wasn’t even on the first page a couple of months back.)

All rather strange really as my OUCS site gets less than a handful of hits a month. Is this a sign of the decline of Google or James Doigs?

In the interests of fairness, I’d better point out that Yahoo has me in position three, MSN in first position (with my Churchill site), and A9 in the top two places!

The Others

Saw The Others last night at the Zodiac. I’m not saying that I was disappointed, I wasn’t, but I had hoped for more for such a highly tipped band.

Their support was excellent: Lude put on a energetic show and The Rakes showed that they weren’t just another geek rock band with a sensitive performance.

Secret Machines are playing the Zodiac in March, but I’m in Boston.

Tallinn & Helsinki

Just come back from a wonderful trip to Tallinn and Helsinki and would heartily recommend it to all others (except British urban-savages: stay in Dublin or Prague).

Flights on EasyJet were obtained for less than £27 (inc. taxes) and fairly cheap accommodation (by European standards) can be found online quite easily.

Hopefully I’ll be able to post a short guide here soon.
